Athletes have to drink a lot of water. A LOT. Sometimes, the stuff just gets boring. That’s why I have the occasional DDP — I’m just tired of water and need some flavor. But there are plenty of ways to flavor water (that do not involve Vitamin Water or anything of the sort) to make it more interesting.
Here are a few other ideas I plan to try (inspired by Canyon Ranch Spa):
Cucumber (I already really like this combo)
Cilantro, lime and jalapeno slices
Slices of fresh plum with a cinnamon stick
Watermelon cubes, mint and lemon
Tarragon leaves, raspberries and blueberries
Tomato halves and horseradish (this is a strange one)
So, any ideas? What do you do when you get bored with plain ol’ water?
