I’m a little behind on the blog reading/writing today, but better late than never, right?
1. I actually did get a pool run in yesterday following the Tuesday morning Wilson disaster. And guess what? See ya, jogging belt! I did 30 minutes with the flotation belt and then took it off for 30 minutes. And guess what else? I sink like a brick. Just staying above water is a workout in itself. Thus, running is a lot harder without the belt — it requires a lot more core work and concentration — but there’s nothing bad about either of those things.
2. This is my last weekend of FREEDOM before IM training officially begins. Thus, fun will be my priority over my workouts, though in theory those also will happen. We’ll see. But don’t judge the day drinking — if you were in my position you too would take time to live it up before you had to be lame for five months.
3. I installed my Garmin quick release on the new bike, so it’s ready to go. I will take it out this weekend. Hear that, weather? I WILL.
